Meet Kentro Mason
Hailing from the vibrant heart of New Orleans, The Kazzettes are a genre-bending force delivering an electrifying fusion of pop, R&B, funk, soul, rock, and old-school flavor to every stage they touch. Led by powerhouse vocalist and charting artist KZ Taylor—whose original music has garnered millions of streams globally—and saxophone phenom Jake Peffer, the group was born from a shared vision: to blend world-class musicianship with undeniable stage presence and bold, theatrical energy.
After years of touring internationally and performing at high-profile events, KZ joined forces with Jake and three of the most dynamic players in the Gulf South: Tim Cardner, Hifey Gallavant, and Mervin Redmond Jr. Together, they form a lineup that’s as musically tight as it is explosively entertaining.
Hifey Gallavant, on bass and vocals, lights up every room with his velvet tone and magnetic charisma—delivering ballads, soul, and swagger with equal finesse. Tim Cardner adds the perfect touch on guitar with instinctive musicality and warm, textured harmonies. Mervin Redmond Jr anchors the band with an exceptional rhythmic intuition and deep musical fluency, driving the groove and lifting the room.
Merging elements of trap, soul and RnB, meandering freely between rap and melody, Lord Young takes inspiration from anywhere that connects. Leading with subtle yet catchy tunes and a consistent level of depth, his new age sound tips its hat to the likes of Lil Skies and Russ, but as you make your way through his collection – you start to hear the music as innately true to this artist alone.
After Hourz has a certain purity about his sound that’s easy to recognize and that offers the warm embrace of skill and heart intertwined.
